Hey,
I am a proud owner of a 1960 Desoto Fireflite and I need a few parts in order to get it in a good condition.
I need:
-Windshield
-Intake Manifold
I also would like to be able to put in swivel seats for the front seat, but i can't seem to find them anywhere so if you know of anywhere that I can get some it would be great.
Thanks, Dominic
Be very careful if you order a windshield; some lists indicate the windshield from a '61 is a suitable replacement. Although it will seal, the lack of a bevel at the top of a 61 windshield causes the trim to have large gaps. Use a '61 only as a last resort.
Is the engine a 361 or 383?
I saw the frame and guts for a swivel seat set up on eBay a few years ago. The seats required total replacement / refurbishment, the springs were missing in some spots; it looked someone found it in a junkyard.... It was bid upwards of $1500.
Good luck.
From the parts book it appears the windshields for all 1960 Plymouth, Dodge, Desoto, and Chryslers were the same with the exception some may have had the Solex option. It appears the 1961 Plymouth and Chrysler sedans have the same windshields as the 1960 models. Mac

With the engine parts the 350, 361 and 383 used the
same part number In-take Manifold from 1959 to 1967.
I am adding the below since it is part of The In-take
Maifold.
The same informaion is with the Carburator's from 1959
to 1961 for the Carburator. After this year some of the
oriinal carb's had the fitings for the Pressure Vented
Crank Case ( aka PVC ).
An very impotant part of this is to know/ remember the
direction of Operating the Foot Linkage is made to the
carburator. All carburators used after 1967 have a Pulling
Cable ( you have a Pushing Rod ). This is added because
"a carb is not just a carb".
Now you know why more or better was asked for.

Mac & Dominic,
The books I used listed the 61 windshield as a suitable sub. As I said, it does seal, but there are major gaps. Trust me, I know the hard way....
Dominic, I rounded up these two Suppliers in past years. They were promising for some 53 Desoto glass. I was looking for a spare windshield since AZ has a lot of flying gravel. The 53 winshield was not Sloex so I did not buy it. Hopefully they are still around.
ProSource Glass International From 9/12/05 e-mail I believe they have decent Desoto replacement windshields.

So does this mean that only the 1960 (Desoto/Dodge/Chrysler) will fit my vehicle or will the 1959 or even 1958 be a good fit.
Thanks for your time
Dominic
Look for: 1960 Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge & Plymouth. Also 61-64 Chrysler conv, 62-64 Dodge 880 conv, 61 Dodge and Plymouth conv. glass #W590
Good Luck
