I'm looking to order a new dash pad for my '59 DeSoto Fireflite Sportsman and had originally intended to send one of the few remaining scraps from under the trim as a sample. However, when I removed the scrap, the hue was too gold in color as the original pad is a gray/silver. I am assuming that years spent outside in the heat caused it to discolor. The interior code is 386 and the dash pad was definitely silver as seen in the old photos shown below prior to all the years it baked outside (dash pad is now all but gone). If anyone has close-up reference photos, original samples, etc., I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm just trying to make sure I get the hue correct.
