This car has been on ebay before at a higher price. There are currently two ads in the latest Hemmings for this car. One ad has the car at $72,900. The other is for this car to be auctioned in December at a Mecum auction in Kansas City. I continue to wonder how this car got to have 255 hp. Mac
Easy, put in a '56 Fireflite engine!
Have a nice day.
Steve
According to the Mecum site the engine is the correct 291 Hemi so maybe they just looked at the wrong year's horsepower rating in some guide.
Nice looking car. Here is a link to MORE pictures for it. I like the Powerflite nameplate on the back of the car. Never "noticed" that before.

My '55 Firedome has the Powerflite script on it too.
Have a nice day

I don't suppose the Powerflite nameplate came on the '56 models? At least, my '56 doesn't have the nameplate on it. It just looks so... nice!
