Dear all
I am writing to introduce myself, and to let you know about an upcoming project, featuring a 1952 DeSoto Firedome
I work for a TV production company who make a very popular and long-running show for the Discovery network. We have relocated to the USA to make 8 special episodes, one of which will feature the DeSoto.
We have bought a car that is somewhat customised to personal tastes, and our plan is to make it more appealing in a sympathetic way. We have been keen for many years to feature a Hemi on the show to inform and educate our viewers.
We are very excited about this project for a number of reasons- not least because we felt the brand has been overlooked in the media, but also because this car has great potential, with a range of interesting and beneficial jobs for us to carry out.
We also need your help- do you own a 1952 Firedome? We are looking for an example in nice condition to film with, for the segment at the beginning of the show, where we discuss our reasons for choosing the car. We would especially like to hear from any owners in the southern California area- I know there will only be one or two of you out there, but it would be great to hear from you if you'd like to be involved. Can you help? P
If you have any questions about the car, the show we make, or any aspect of the project in general, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me here, or on my email james@attaboytv.com
Thanks and best wishes to you all
James
In the Member Cars section of this site you'll see some '51 Firedomes pictured. Here's the first one I came across:
