I'm looking into getting a 1950 DeSoto Custom 4 door. It will need some interior work. Where can I find a headliner? Does DeSoto interchange with Chrysler?
I am not as familiar with the pre-'55 DeSotos, but I know SMS in Oregon is a supplier for correct fabrics for the '55+ cars. They might also have what you need for a 1950. Alternatively, if it's a more generic pattern (I don't know what the material looks like), you might be able to have a local upholstery shop come up with a close match.
I can't say whether the Chrysler is 100% identical or not, but generally the Chryslers and DeSotos shared body and chassis features that would lead me to believe that the roof size and shape is, at minimum, the same between the same body styles.
I hope this helps and hopefully someone with a DeSoto of your vintage can chime in.
I'd have to agree with what David said. Again... I would call SMS https://smsautofabrics.com/ From the site:
