Obviously it is not a domestic production since they only made 4 door woodie wagons here.

This sure looks like a dollar sign to me with no further monetary designation(unless of course the website is using the "$" sign for pesos. If so, it might have eliminated the possible confusion by stating $MEX 50,000.00, but then it IS a Mexican website and was probably not intended for international viewing.)

I am sure the seller did not expect Americans to be looking at the sale because Ebay Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Spain etc. do offer listings in US dollars for products that may draw an international audience. On those it will state 50,000 US.
Since I own a 1956 Desoto Diplomat from Australia and I like to research the Diplomat series I tend to wonder around those sites also. I mostly buy literature when I find it but every so often an interesting Desoto truck or Passenger car will show up. I just received a 1972 Desoto truck and van brochure from the UK printed in French
Actually, according to Butler's "The Plymouth and DeSoto Story", De Soto did make and sell 4-door wagons in 1950 that were not woodies here in the USA. But since production of these 4-dr steel wagons didn't start until Oct, they made only 100 of them in 1950. Both the woodie and the steel wagons were from the Custom line. And in addition to the 2-dr Diplomat wagon shown, De Soto also made a 4-dr Diplomat woodie wagon.
