I'm very interested in selling my 1949 Custom Desoto. I just had one of your members from Las Vegas, NV come by and look at it He says someone out there would buy it, but he just wants certain parts. It sat on my dad's farm for years after we stopped driving it. Then a friend had it for a while and finally brought it to me to save it from the shredder. All The stainless parts are still with the car. Seats are still there, but it is weathered. Engine is still good and oil looks good.
I would like to ask $4000.00 OBO.

I am looking for a '49 but in the SE area and preferably in #3-4 condition. I hope it finds a good home!
Should someone in the club want to purchase this car for parts, there are several items I am looking for and would go in with that person. What I am looking for for my 1949 Convertible is:
1. A good set of stainless steel rear wheel well fender welting.
2. A rear bumper brace. Mine is bent.
3. A steering wheel core. I just need the wheel not the ginger bread with it.
4. A set of factory cowl outside rear view mirrors.
5. A good set of rear fender moldings.
6. A good for chroming set (2) of bumper overriders.
7. A rear trunk guard. for 1949 is has a dip for the trunk handle to clear.
If anyone pick this up for parts, keep this list and contact me.
James
James, I would talk to the owner about the price.
