Jason, I am not sure that the trim is really chrome plated. It seems to me it is some king of stainless steel. Stainless has chrome in it. I also can not sya that I have seen a lot of chrome trim rusted out. So if I am correct and it is not rusted badly and the chrome is not creased or badly bent, there are shops that can clean up trim real nicely. Tim Bowers - regularly on this site has a shop that does this. He did some for my 53 DeSoto, originally a CT car for 40 years.

The molding on the sides and aroun the windows are stainless that can be polished to look like chrome. The front fender molding is chrome. I found mine on ebay, but it took a long time. Good luck.

Paul

Jason, you can also try dvap.com (Desert Valley Auto Parts in Casa Grande Arizona). The trim is almost always mostly free of rust. Make sure they avoid trim pieces with creases and trim that is bent or badly dented. Hidden Valley in AZ may also have something.

Jason

The Body to Rear Fender has what is called
"Rear Fender Welt" by the parts clerk or Anti-
Squeak by all others.

On page 386 of The De Soto Pasenger Parts
List is the photo. Page 199 is where you find
# 12-20-4. This is what it is numbered as
when it is Cut To Lenght. The roll they cut it
from is #12-20-14 ( sold by the foot ).

This same sized and samed shaped piece is
used for every full size Dodge, every version of
Chrysler or era Imperial.

The exposed part is about the same diameter as
the push button on the end of an plastic ink pin.
