Question:

Does anyone know how to remove Rear Side Hand Straps on a 1947
4 Door Desoto S-11

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan, Take a small flat screwdriver push in on the outer part around the center button and pry around with the screwdriver on the center button, it will be tight but work your way around it and it will come off without any damage. There is a large screw under the button.

For Paul

We have had the same S-11 since 1999 and I have never had a reason
to remove our Strap Assembly. When I first saw this question - I thought
"No problema". When I went to look at this item - it too had me stomped.

The Factory Parts Book is a help if you want to know how many colours
and what is the material choice, for there is no "exploded" view.

Thank You for helping out.
