For the first time in 25 years, the old Desoto moved under its own power. I have quite a bit of work left to do, but driving up and down the driveway has been extremely satisfying.

The car was owned by my dad from 1969-1986. My dad originally purchased the car from a salvage yard in Kingman Kansas for $75. In 1986, it went to a man in Missouri until I bought it back in 2005 (for considerably more than $75.)

I grew up riding in the back seat of this car, now I finally get to sit behind the wheel!

Awesome! Great to take that first ride.

It's supposed to be fun!

Lee, the satisfaction is a big part of this hobby. It must have been a good feeling to have this run on its own. Looks like you are coming along pretty well on it. Keep the photos coming!
