I am thinking about buying a 1930 Desoto four door sedan with a eight cylinder engine. The car is orginal and in pretty good shape. What can you tell me about this car?

Dennis, 1930 was the second year for the Desoto. I really do not believe there was an eight cylinder available. If I am totally wrong on this one someone will answer.

Dennis,

A 1930 Desoto is a pretty rare car. It had features such as hydraulic brakes whereas most other cars of the day still had mechanical brakes. The 1930 CF models had a straight eight cylinder engine which produced 70 hp. The CK models had an inline six cylinder engine which produced 60 hp.
