And I thought I would throw in pictures of the interior I sewn together over the winter.
Awesome workmanship. This will be one of the best "new" DeSotos on the road.
Agreed - very nice! Do you think you'll make your deadline next week?
Before and after
With no major hick up then the engine will be running this weekend. Running or not the car will be at the Syracuse Nationals on July 13-16
ive got smoke. It fire up for a couple seconds on all 6 cylinders. Today I will charge the battery and make a couple adjustments and try again.
Smoke baby ohh yah
I'd love to see a video of the first start and/or break-in. I made one when I broke in the 330 hemi for my '56 Fireflite in 2016: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5fqV46uVt8&ab_channel=DeSotoFireflite
So the results of my deadline..... Used a car dolly to get to the Nationals and then drove it around all weekend at the Nationals. It runs good but runs a little hot. Got more breaking in to do before I road test it.
It's been a long journey but nearly complete. My next show is in 2 1/2 weeks. Got to go through the brakes and more run time then try driving on the roads
