Does anyone got some new ones, or know who does?
Thanks
Steve
Raybestos still makes them. Any auto parts store who handles Raybestos should be able to order them. Go to the Raybestos web site and look up your year and car and get the part number and give it to your local auto part guys.

Some year ago, I purchased a NEW wheel cylinder for the 1947 DeSoto. I put it into the car. It worked for about six months then failed. The failure was complete and in less than 15 seconds.
Turns out that the piston seal, when molded, must have had some kind of junk in the mold. It made an "indent" in the side of the seal just short of the lip of the seal. After the initial lip of the seal wore in the indent "became a canal" past the seal and it failed. I got one pump of the brakes and then rode the car down a hill in San Francisco. It was 7:30 AM on a Sunday morning. If not, I and the car would have been destroyed.
Since them, on all brake parts, I personally dismantle and inspect all the parts. The stuff being made overseas today just does not have the quality control it once had and you take you life, and others on the road, in your hands if you assume everything in a wheel or master cylinder is good just because it is new.
IT IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY TO DOUBLE CHECK THESE PARTS IN SINGLE MASTER CYLINDER SYSTEMS. NO SHORT CUTS. NO QUICK JOBS. NO ASSUMPTIONS.
Best, James
