Hi, My name is Mary LeCompte. I am the widow of Ronald LeCompte who was a member of the DeSoto Club when he was alive. His 1960 DeSoto won first place, Number 1 Condition at the Springfield, IL Annual Car Show.
Due to his passing, I am no longer able to keep the DeSoto. I would like to give someone from the club first "dibs" on a possible purchase.
The car is still in prefect condition, seldom driven and is stored in a warehouse.
Thanks in advance.

I would just like to clarify that this car did not win a 1st place in its class at our Springfield convention - it won BEST OF SHOW for our 2010 convention!!! Of course, it would be helpful if an asking price was included in the post.

I pretty much copied/pasted the email I got from Mrs. LeCompte, and she didn’t provide any pricing information.

My favorite DeSoto is a 1960 Fireflite 2 dr hardtop but this car seemed close enough to consider. I tried contacting Mary and did communicate to a degree but was unable to get the pictures I had requested from her. This was at the time the car was posted for sale several months ago. From the pictures I did get the car looks very, very nice but I was unable to get more detailed pictures I really wanted. I even mentioned I would make a trip to Illinois if we could strike some kind of a deal. At this point communication came to a halt from her and though I kept trying from my end to no avail, I finally just gave up. Car may still be for sale and if someone is interested, you may try contacting her especially if you are near her location.
