Are you going to the Mecum collector car auction in Kansas City in March? Make a trip to Leavenworth Ks. and BRING A TRAILER!!!! For sale is a 1960 DeSoto FIREFLITE 4dr sedan for parts or restore. It is in pretty good shape for a car that has been sitting for as long as it has, the floors are decent. I think it is all there except for the front fender trim and air cleaner(I am not an expert on DeSotos). There is rust in the car, behind the rear wheels and a little on the rockers. The interior is pretty much trashed but the bones are there to recover and restore.It has a 361ci 2 bbl engine which does turn over, I DO NOT KNOW IF IT RUNS,but it is NOT SEIZED. The dash and radio are complete,and it has the desirable front swivel seats. The glass is all there and in excellent condition. The trim that is present is in good to excellent shape.We cannot get into the trunk. The driveshaft is disconnected so it will roll. I do not know if it has brakes, assume it does not. THIS CAR MUST BE TRAILERED!!! THIS CAR MUST GO ASAP!!! THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD AS A WHOLE CAR.... Please do not ask for certain parts, IT IS THE WHOLE CAR OR NOTHING!!! This car is an excellent candidate for restoration or a VERY VERY good parts car. It has a Kansas title. I am listing this for a friend. He is asking $1800.00 OBO.
