THIS HAS BEEN SOLD!!! Selling my 1959 Firedome 4 door sedan. This is currently located in east central Illinois, but now needs a good (someone with more time to drive) home. It is a running and driving project with all areas of rust repaired (including new rockers, sills, quarter panels, floors, and trunk). It has many new parts (springs, shocks, Scarebird front disk conversion, dual pot master cylinder, center link, and tires to name a few). Also the steering box was rebuilt in 2015 by Steer and Gear. I have the original front seat, the current one can be removed and the original installed sans foam and cover. $3000 or best offer, and I truly mean "offer". My hope is that this vehicle will go to someone that wants or needs it.
Lisa, it would be helpful if you would put your location into your posts regarding your cars for sale!
Down in the lower right corner of your post is a tab you can click to edit your posts, or you can just add a new one!
It's supposed to be fun!
1949 De Soto Custom Convertible (project)
It's up for sale again. Location is Bement, IL. See below which is currently on the Forward Look website.
"Still trying to find a home for my 1959 Desoto Firedome with a 383 BB and automatic transmission. The car is located in Bement, IL. This car runs and drives, is currently licensed and insured. I just do not have time to drive it. It does have a transmission fluid leak on occasion and the heater is not hooked up as it leaks coolant onto the floorboards, and there is a crack in the windshield. It does have tons of new parts (leaf springs, Edelbrock manifold, Edelbrock carburetor, gas tank, front disc brake conversion, shocks, center link, and idler arm) and has had the steering gear box rebuilt. No, it isn't perfect and yes, there is body filler in it over the wavy sheet metal patches I made. Make me an offer but cash only please!"
