NDC Member Open House During Hershey

All NDC members attending Hershey are invited to attend an open house at fellow NDC member Hank Hallowell's Mopar collection on Thursday, October 8th, from 3-6. For anyone interested, contact Hank via the info in the club roster. I don't want to post his personal info or address here for privacy reasons.

Rare Adventurer For Sale

This is NOT mine. I did decode it and it's the real deal, a very rare mostly gold with black sweep and roof '56 Adventurer. One of only 2-3 known to still exist in those colors and seems like a good deal. Comes with another Adventurer as a parts car. Serial number 50384359.

Well MECA is calling all of us AACA members and also Desoto owners to attend the greatest antique swap mee on the east coast.

Has any one member and or Trustee scheduled to have a meet and greet at one of the vender sites during the week for us DeSoto owners or has this idea been pushed under the rug with no thought of any type of get together again.

Lots of members live on the east coast and attend the Hershey swap meet. Please post at meeting location, date and time.

If you are planning to attend the Hershey swap meet Oct 6-9 remember that the first official day of sell is Tuesday 10/6/26 and the last day 10/9/26 is the official car show day. There are still some venders left in the fields but most have left by Thursday night.

If you plan to attend you can stop by the site of Rich Hartung GAE 14-15. We will be in the Green Field on thrid street. Unfortunately Les Pessavento who also shared the site with my will not beable to attend this year. All Desoto owners and MoPar owners are welcome to chat and take a rest from walk the fields. I plan to be onsite on Monday 10/5/26 to setup and then do some walking around to look for some great buys.

Hennie Jacobs Funeral

I am saddened to announce the passing of longtime member Hennie Jacobs this past Sunday evening. For those of you who didn't know Hennie, he was one of the friendliest and most generous people you'll meet, in addition to a great wealth of mechanical knowledge. People who did know him will also remember his bird, Pretty Boy, as well as his loyal attendance to the NDC conventions, all of which he attended with his DeSoto (or multiple DeSotos).

The visitation will be Friday, May 15th, at 1:30 at Faith Baptist Church, 500 W Lee Rd, Taylors, SC, 29687, followed by a service at 4.

1952 Firedome wagon project for sale/trade

I have a 1952 wagon in storage that I will not be able to finish in this lifetime. I started a frame-off rebuild several decades ago, but ran into health and financial problems. I have recovered financially, but will never be healthy enough to complete the project. I would consider selling or swapping the car + cash for a completed (or nearly completed) 1942-1955 classic or modified Mopar.

The car has no engine, transmission, or steering column, although it has a very nice steering wheel. The gauges were restored by Williamson Instruments, some chrome has been replated, many extra parts including an entire second dashboard, etc.

S 2 Airflow brakes

Would like to identify '36 brake master cylinder from my S 2 and get exploded diagram to see where the circular brass baffle/disc is located. It's been left out after a refurb & piston not pumping fluid. Any ideas? TIA. David.
